Hey! 👋

I’m a qualitative UX researcher with a background in Communication and Political Science from The University of Utah. I’ve worked on a range of projects in the education, technology, and well-being space. I’m currently working on how to improve edTech tools for teachers in the classroom and looking to further explore how AI is changing the education landscape.

Outside of work you can catch me drawing in my sketchbook, drinking coffee or tea, walking my dog, or eating something yummy.

Why did I pursue a UX Research career?

I got interested in UX research because of my curiosity for understanding people and human behavior at a deeper level. In college, I studied Communication and loved writing and making a meaningful impact on my community through volunteering, so I ended up pursuing a career in which my interests for human behavior, journalism, and community would intersect.

I have always gravitated towards working on education-related projects since it’s been a goal of mine to make education more accessible to all students and make teaching a better experience for teachers.

Some of my favorite projects as a UX researcher have included working as a researcher at Plot Twisters— where I conducted research to develop an online game world of self-reflection to help K-12 youth develop healthy self-awareness and learning habits and Quizletmy first User Research internship where I got to help improve learning tools to help students understand and learn class content more effectively. Today, I’m a UX Researcher at Amplify where I’m currently working to improve and create tools that will improve the teaching experience :)
